Japan Disaster Relief
On Friday, March 11, 2011, Japan experienced a catastrophic 8.9 magnitude earthquake, which spawned a deadly tsunami. According to news reports, the current death toll is over 2000 people and with thousands more missing or injured is expected to rise to 10,000. It has also caused tens of billions of dollars in property and economic losses. The monies collected with go directly to LCMS World Relief and Human Care Japan Disaster Relief Fund – a ministry of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
