Center (ELC)
Pre-K Financial Assistance Available
- Financial assistance is available to qualifying families through the State of Hawaii and Kamehameha Schools.
- The State of Hawaii offers the Child Care Connection Hawaii subsidy program and the Preschool Open Doors program.
- Kamehameha Schools offers the Pauahi Keiki Scholars Scholarship program.
- These and additional subsidy opportunities are listed on the PATCH website.
Early Learning Center (ELC) – All new 11,000 sq ft. building opened in fall 2019
- Three Pre-School Classes in Large 1000 sq ft. classrooms
- Each class will have a teacher (and assistant teachers will help as needed) keeping a low Student-to-Teacher Ratio
- Recently Completed a beautiful Age Appropriate Playground
School Calendar
- Same 10 month calendar as the K-8 Program
Daily Schedule (Start and End of the Day)
- The school opens at 7:15 a.m. with the formal instruction beginning at 8:00 a.m. and closes for normal operation at 3:15 p.m.
- Extended Care Available from 6:30 to 7:15 a.m. and from 3:15 to 5:30 p.m.
Tuition
- Similar to the K-8 Program tuition and is typically set in early spring
Lunch
- Parents may sign up for school lunch from Keiki Gourmet or bring home lunch.
Age Requirements
- When entering the Early Learning Program, students must be age 3 or 4 by October 31.
- Students will be placed into the PK3, PK3/4 or PK4 class.
Toilet –Training Requirements
- All students must be toilet-trained before beginning classes
Curriculum
- The Creative Curriculum®, a high quality, systematic, research-based program, is used in all classes. It meets both Hawaii Preschool Content Standards and the Hawaii Early Learning and Development Standards.
- Concordia’s One in Christ is used to teach our youngest students about the Love of Christ.
