Second Stay at Home Order Issued for O‘ahu

Aloha Saint Mark Parents,

As I imagine you have heard, Mayor Kirk Caldwell announced earlier today that Governor David Ige has approved Honolulu’s Emergency Order No. 2020-25, reinstating a Stay at Home/Work from Home Order for the island of O‘ahu, effective at 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 27 through September 9, 2020.

Until the written order is distributed (sometime Wednesday), we will not know precisely what this means to private schools such as Saint Mark.  However, based on what we heard in today’s press conference, it would be very wise for our PK to grade 5 parents to be prepared to move their children into a distance learning environment.

We will be reaching out again tomorrow once we have received and analyzed the emergency order.

Please do not hesitate to contact the school office should you have any questions.

Thank you for your time and support!

Mahalo, Blessings and Stay Safe,

David Gaudi
Head of School
